Healthcare professionals must have a year of recent experience in the area of clinical practice and a license for the state in which they'll practice. 2.2. Can I send my resume in place of the application?

Your application is much more than a resume; it helps us thoroughly understand your specialties and skills so we can match you with the right assignment. We need your MNS application completely filled out, signed, and returned to us. Some facilities require a resume; for this reason, we also request that you include one if you have one available. If not, we will have your staffing manager help you to put one together.

Absolutely not. Your application is simply used to qualify you for long- or short-term temporary assignments so that we're ready to match you with an assignment if and when you decide you're ready to begin. You are never required to work any amount of hours or accept an assignment that does not meet your expectations.

2.7. How do I actually get a job?

You and your staffing manager will determine the open position which most closely matches your skill, experience, and desired location. MNS will then submit your profile to our client. Your profile consists of your application with work history and your professional credentials. MNS will never send your profile to a facility without your knowledge and permission. Because your profile represents you and is the key to obtaining the approval, it is always best to include as much work history and experince as possible.

Please feel free to include any written performance evaluations, letters of reference, certificates of accomplishment or other recognitions that you might have when you return your application materials.

If a phone interview is required by the facility, we will set that up for you. During this interview, you are both asking each other questions to determine if it will be a good match. Often, the job offer is made during the interview. It is critical to contact your staffing manager as soon as you have had your interview to discuss the next step.

Part-time contracts are customized to both the facility and the medical professional. Per-diem shifts can be booked as late as same day, or as far advance as the facility staffing department permits. In our experience, it is typically one month in advance.

6.1. What is the benefit in floating, or offering to work more than one unit, when scheduling a shift?

This provides the facility the option to utilize your skills in the areas with the most needs, as oppose to canceling you when the need decreases in a certain area.
